Meet our staff
Suzanne Downs joined the Hathaway School in 2008. She began her career as an early childhood educator and has held positions as administrator and teacher in all age groups throughout the years. Suzanne also teaches as an adjunct professor at American International College in their Graduate School of Education. In addition to her scholarly activities, she founded a performing arts dance studio for sixteen years before retiring in 2019 to pursue her doctorate in educational leadership and supervision.
She holds the director and lead teacher license from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. In addition, she has earned an associate’s degree from North Shore Community College, bachelors degree from Salem State University, master’s degree from American International College, and is pursuing a doctoral degree from American International College, where she is currently working on her dissertation.
Suzanne and her husband James of forty years have two adult children, who have graduated from college and are pursuing their dreams. Suzanne enjoys going for walks, cuddling her cat Kiwi, and having family time.

Sharon DeLuca is an experienced educator, who currently teaches in the after-school program at the Hathaway School. She has an associate’s degree from North Shore Community College and has taught the performing arts for many years. Sharon holds a teacher’s certification from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Her fun energetic curriculum engages students of all ages and is dedicated to inspire an engaging atmosphere. Sharon loves to travel and enjoys sharing that experience with her students through an array of artifacts, stories, and pictures.

Natasha Murray joined the Hathaway School in 2020. She earned her bachelor's degree from Salem State University in 2021 with a dual major in Early Childhood Education and English and holds a lead teacher's certification from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Natasha was selected as a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Society, a national honor society recognizing students who achieved a minimum 3.5 grade point average. Natasha is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, creative writing, reading, and is a lover of all things Disney.

Anthoulla Hios is a native of Lynn, graduated from Lynn Classical High School and continued her education at Salem State University where she was awarded her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She earned certifications as Director II and Lead Teacher. Anthoulla has more than twenty years of varied experience working in early education. She has been a member of the Hathaway School since 2018, working in both the preschool and after school programs. Anthoulla enjoys attending her three children's school and sports activities, loves arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors.

Sarah Trottier is currently a high school senior. She works part time at the Hathaway School Afterschool Program where she shares her passion for languages, music, creative writing, videography, and graphic design. Sarah developed, designed and maintains our school's website and other social media platforms. Upon graduating as a member of the Class of 2022, Sarah intends to pursue a teaching degree.
