SUMMER 2010 READING LISTS

Summer reading is an important tool to stay sharp over the break; therefore it is a requirement for all Hathaway School students.

Entering Grade 1*:
All students in grade 1 will be required to read (or be read to) one Mother goose book & 2 books (any title) from the following list of authors:

Products:
Students entering Grade 1 will draw pictures from the beginning, middle, and end of the 3 books they choose. Products are required and will be collected along with an oral presentation. Picture stories along with an oral presentation will be calculated as two test grades the first week of school.

Entering Grade 2:
All students entering Grade 2 will be required to read on Hans Christian Andersen or Brothers Grimm fairy tale & 2 books (any title) from the following list of authors:

Entering Grade 5:
